Day 01: Zagora – Chegaga

Departure at 1pm by 4×4 to Chegaga, after visiting Tamegroute, we reach M’hamid, an extreme village before the vast desert plateau. After 45 km of trail, we arrive at the Oasis of Oum Lâalag, a source that is essential for the passing nomad caravans. After a stop, 15 km more of trail and we reach the 300m high, 50 km long Chegaga dunes. Camel ride, sunset.

Dinner and overnight in a nomadic tent bivouac.

Day 02: Chegaga – Zagora

After breakfast in the desert, return to Zagora passing through the former Paris-Dakar trail and then through the palm grove of the Draa valley. Arrival around 12pm.
